Matthew Gottlieb is a Los Angeles-based actor, writer, improviser, musician and voiceover artist.  Born in Atlanta, and raised on Waffle House hash-browns and depressing 90's alternative music, he somehow found his way to the University of Maryland where he received his BA in Theatre Performance in 2004.  This is at least the story he tells himself.  Other variables may have included dance classes, voice lessons, minor chord progressions and almond butter.

Matt moved to Chicago in 2005 where he was involved in the theatre, improv and music scenes, sometimes combining all three at once like neapolitan ice cream (where even the strawberry gets eaten).  He has taught theatre in after school programs and summer camps, performed in children's theatre, not-for-children's theatre and REALLY NOT-FOR-CHILDREN'S theatre throughout Chicagoland.  Matt has sought additional improv training at the IO Theatre (where he performed with Emperor and The Rabble), the Annoyance Theatre and at the Second City Musical Improv Conservatory.

Matt was a company member of pH Productions with whom he performed weekly improv shows.  He was also a founder, production manager, and performer with (the Chicago Reader Recommended) Reset List: The Improvised Rock Experience, creating improvised rock concerts for audiences all over Chicago, Pittsburgh...and one venue in New York.

After almost a decade in Chicago, Matt has moved to LA, where he will never need a poofy coat again. Thanks LA.
